Canadian Citizenship

To become a Canadian citizen if you are adult between 18 to 54 years of age on the day you sign your application:

✅ You must be a permanent resident who has lived in Canada for at least 1095 days (3 years) of the last 5 years;

✅ You have filled your taxes;

✅ You must be able to communicate in English or French;

✅ You pass a citizenship test – must have knowledge of Canada, including the rights and responsibilities of citizenship

There are additional or different requirements if you are applying for a minor (under age 18) or if you are or have been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
